Kent Coffey, 62, of Grand Mound, Iowa, passed away on February 11, 2026, at Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House in Bettendorf.
Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. Friday, February 20, 2026 at Schultz Funeral Home, Grand Mound. A Graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, February 21, 2026 at Evergreen Cemetery in Grand Mound. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Clarissa C. Cook Hospice in Davenport.
Larry Kent Coffey was born September 25, 1963, to Paul and Brenda (Kemper) Coffey in Taylorville, Illinois. He graduated from North Scott High School, in Eldridge, Iowa, and proudly served in the Army National Guard. Kent lived in DeWitt and Park View, Iowa, and also in Moweaqua, Illinois, and spent the last 20 years in Grand Mound, making many lasting friendships. Kent worked at EMJ in Eldridge for many years, and as a truck driver for Westmore Carriers.
Kent enjoyed fishing, camping, golf, and spending time with friends and family. He especially looked forward to camping and fishing trips, a cold beer, and good conversation.
He is survived by his wife, Sheila Coffey; his sons, Jim (Ashley) Coffey and Justin Coffey, all of Davenport; grandchildren, Harper and Kemper Coffey, and Nadia Coffey; parents, Paul and Brenda (Kemper) Coffey of Blue Mound, Illinois; a sister, Teresa Coffey of Rantoul, Illinois; stepchildren, Trista (Marcos) Cedeno and Ashton (Kaitlin) Schulz; step-granddaughter, Wrenley; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.
